In November 2022, Sysco received it's first battery electric Freightliner eCascadia truck. "This zero-emission tractor is powerful, quiet and -- importantly – very comfortable to drive," said Marie Robinson, Sysco's EVP & Chief Supply Chain Officer. "It's not only good for the planet, but will also improve the driving experience for thousands of our delivery partners."
Learn moreCustomers of Sysco’s businesses in Great Britain, Brakes and Sysco Speciality Group, started to receive deliveries from zero-emissions vehicles in August 2022. The pilot includes a range of temperature-controlled electric vehicles, including two 19-tonne Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) and two electric vans. The new vehicles support Sysco’s climate goal.
